This is the Yamaha WX5 Wind-Synth Controller. This is the standard grey version.

Mine is marble blue. I love it because it allows me to play music easily while having very little talent!

This is the Yamaha VL70-m tone module. The WX5 is connected to this or another sound module. The sound is created by the module and controlled by the wind-synth. Together, they can sound like anything you can imagine. 

This is the Alesis NanoSynth. Unlike the VL70-m, it is polyphonic. It can produce multiple tones at the same time. This synth can produce more stock tones than the VL70-M.

     These sample files will give you great demonstrations of the capabilities of the entire rig.  Each sample provides a few of the possible instrument voices or "patches" possible.  The devices are capable of hundreds of patches each.  PC software provides a programming and communication interface for users wishing to go beyond the original hundreds of voices that each module has.

My favorite voices are the pipes, flutes and saxes.  I also use other voices that are not typical instrument sounds but are great to play.  I will add some tunes when I can record again.
